Hi, I’m Annette Taberner. I chase light into places most people only see in atlases: Greenland’s Ilulissat Icefjord, where thousand-year-old ice calves into the sea under a midnight sun; the rolling wheat fields of Washington’s Palouse, where every hilltop glows a different shade of gold at dawn; and the dust-red ranges of Utah’s Onaqui Mountains, where wild mustangs still run in herds of fifty.
Each photograph is an invitation to pause. I hope that when you see an image of mine on a wall, it asks you to slow down for a moment, the same way the world once slowed down for me.
Why Prints
A photograph is not complete on a screen. It becomes real when it is given space, when it lives on a wall, in light, over time.
Each print is a signed, numbered limited edition, crafted on museum-grade archival materials chosen for the image.
These are intended as heirlooms, pieces that carry their depth and presence forward long after the moment that shaped them has passed.
From Expedition to Your Wall
Every print goes through a meticulous four-stage journey before reaching you.
Capture
Each image is captured on location using medium-format digital systems. I wait for the light and the landscape to align, however long that takes.
Develop
Raw files are carefully processed to honour the scene as experienced — precise color science and tonal adjustments, never artificial manipulation or compositing.
Produced on your choice of five museum-grade substrates: Hahnemühle Photo Rag, ChromaLuxe Metal, Fujiflex Acrylic, TruLife Acrylic, or Lumachrome TruLife. Each rated for 75–100+ year lightfastness.
Deliver
Individually inspected, signed, and numbered. Ships in custom protective packaging with a certificate of authenticity and care instructions.
